This page describes some important opportunities to obtain teaching, research and extension experiences. If you are a student
and you would like to get hands-on experience in your major on or off campus,
you have found the right Internet site!
The program allows faculty members to post a research or teaching experience
for a qualified student. These experiences may include departmental research,
honors research or off campus research. Positions may be posted or revised at
any time but preferrably all projects are listed by July 1 for the next year.
Students use this page to email the faculty member in charge of their position
of interest. Follow-up meetings or phone calls may be needed to clarify the
project expectations. Each faculty member will select a student for each available
project. You can participate for 1 or more semesters depending on the faculty
member's discretion.
Once the vacancy is filled, the project will be not be available from this
web site. If you have been selected, you will be advised to sign up for the
493 (Special Topics) or ALS 498H or 499H(CALS Honors Research) or 492 (External
Learning Experience) course to receive academic credit for your work experience.
